Description
Modern Automatic Machine for Sewing Elastic in Waistbands with Coverstitch
A modern machine designed for sewing pre-attached elastic in waistbands using a coverstitch machine (the elastic must first be attached on an overlock machine or Krafft KF-EBS-08 automatic machine). The machine sews the elastic in a circular manner, ensuring even tension around the entire waistband. The operator’s role is limited to folding the attached elastic, placing the prepared waistband on the tension rollers, and starting the machine.
The even tension and precise positioning of materials are controlled by a sensor system, requiring no intervention from the operator. Automatic chain cutting and presser foot lifting contribute to high-quality and efficient sewing.
The machine uses a cylindrical Pegasus coverstitch head. Its ease of use and high level of automation allow an operator to manage two machines simultaneously, significantly increasing work speed and efficiency (the time to prepare and sew elastic into one waistband is approximately 10 seconds, based on the following parameters: 385 stitches, stitch length: 3.8 – 4.0 mm, sewing speed: 4000 stitches/min).
Control is managed via an easy-to-use, clear touchscreen panel.
Technical Specifications:
- Sewing speed: 3000 stitches/min
- Width of elastic: 20 – 55 mm
- Circumference of elastic: 76 – 150 cm
- Needles: UY128GAS #10
- Working pressure: 0.5 MPa
- Power supply: 230V
The time to sew one elastic with a circumference of 76 cm is approximately 10 seconds. Connection to a compressed air source is required (minimum capacity: 150L/min).
