A buttonhole machine that stitches with a double chain stitch, offering a wide range of options for selecting buttonhole parameters based on the individual needs of the customer. For the first time, the machine features built-in integrated lighting with LEDs, enabling accurate recognition of marked contours, even on low-contrast fabrics.

The Durkopp 581 Multiflex buttonhole machine includes automatic thread trimming, lower gimp thread guiding (the thread running around the buttonhole), a thread break sensor, a graphic display programmer, a stepper motor for material transport, and an integrated DC motor driving the buttonhole machine. The sewing speed reaches up to 2,200 stitches/min.

The machine comes with 99 programs, allowing the adjustment of the following parameters:

• Buttonhole length
• Stitch density along the buttonhole (in the stitching path)
• Stitch density in the eye of the buttonhole
• Bar tack types: tapered bar, round bar, cross bar, or without bar
• Eyelet types: buttonhole with or without an eyelet, round or oval eyelet (round eyelet requires a knife change)
• Buttonhole size
• Cutting options: before or after stitching, or without cutting
• Sewing speed
• Machine start options: start sewing directly after turning on the machine or with a programmed pause to adjust the buttonhole

NOTE:

The machine does not require an anvil change when adjusting the buttonhole length. Additionally, the machine features two knives that differ in the size of the buttonhole eye.
