Ironing – Ensure the Quality and Aesthetic of Your Products

Smoothing fabrics, whether in clothing or other textile products, is essential. Whether you’re a manufacturer aiming for your products to look impeccable, or simply looking to tidy up your own clothes, Impall offers professional ironing equipment that guarantees high quality and aesthetics. Attention to every inch of the fabric surface ensures satisfaction for both producers and customers. An automated and integrated ironing cycle elevates the quality to new heights. Our range includes a variety of ironing devices that we can perfectly tailor to your needs.

Ironing Equipment – Steam Generators, Irons, and Tables

For precise and efficient fabric ironing, an iron alone isn’t enough, although it certainly has its place. Especially an iron with a steam generator from Rotondi, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of ironing equipment. We also offer other reliable and unparalleled devices from this Italian company. We provide universal ironing tables, as well as specialized ones, such as tables designed for seam pressing on trouser legs, or tables with heated surfaces. In addition, our range includes steam generators, which make ironing exceptionally fast and thorough, and can be an excellent way to refresh clothes while also removing allergens. Of course, we also offer steam mannequins, one of the most specialized ironing devices, which allow for the shaping of garments like shirts, coats, and trousers. We also have vertical ironing equipment, ideal for quickly perfecting clothing or smoothing already hanging curtains or drapes. Additionally, we offer universal pneumatic presses and those designed for shaping trousers, sleeves, and jackets. With professional ironing equipment, you’ll find that ironing can become a very pleasant task.

Ironing – Where to Start?

The entire process begins with choosing the right ironing equipment, which should be tailored to your specific needs. The ironing process differs at home, in smaller tailor shops, and in large factories or retail stores. Moreover, different materials require different ironing techniques, and not all items being ironed are as easy as scarves or sheets. For example, shirts can be particularly tricky, but when organized systematically, ironing them can be quite enjoyable. It’s best to start with the cuffs and collar, then move on to the sleeves and the rest of the garment. Lastly, touch up any remaining wrinkles along the button line – and you’re done! Another challenging task can be pleats, such as those on skirts. The easiest solution is to use a steam generator, or better yet, vertical ironing equipment. However, even with a basic iron, it’s possible to achieve great results. Avoid letting a pleated skirt or dress dry completely. On the ironing board, secure the fabric with paper clips (without plastic elements that could melt near the iron), and press each pleat one by one. Creasing trousers can also be tricky, but starting with the pockets inside out, then the zipper area, seams, and bottom of each leg, before pressing the waistband, will make the task easier. When creating the crease, place a cloth over it to ensure a sharp, crisp edge.

Ironing Temperatures

All irons have a temperature control, usually marked with indications for different materials. Clothing labels also typically provide this information. If not, it’s important to check how to treat the specific fabric. It’s not just about the optimal temperature for smoothing it, but also ensuring it isn’t too high to avoid damaging the garment. For the highest temperatures (180 to 220 degrees Celsius), iron demanding fabrics like linen and wool. The iron’s soleplate should not exceed 180 degrees Celsius when working with cotton, with a starting point of 150 degrees. Synthetic fabrics, viscose, and taffeta should be ironed at around 120 degrees. Lower temperatures are needed for delicate fabrics like silk.

At Impall, you’ll find the equipment needed for every stage of fabric work. Whether you want to layer fabrics with a spreading machine and then perform an automatic cut in your cutting room, or if you plan to sew patterns with specialized industrial sewing machines, we offer a wide range of accessories to assist you during the process. These include tailor’s scissors, lighting for sewing machines, and ergonomic chairs for sewing stations.
